Once There Was A Jack And A Charlie Diffusing In Water

As you can remember, we discussed that poor Leo Dicaprio died in Titanic because of 1) the loss (=perdida) of heat to the water by a diffusion process and because 2) all the water in his cells froze and the enzymes inside the cells stopped working because of the low temperature...

It was sad, wasn't it? and now, off with the watery romantic eyes and in with the funny stuff.
Shame on you, Rose, you selfish cow!!!

and ... do you remember Rose´s last words in the trailer?

The Mythbusters proved James Cameron WRONG!!!

I have a special 10 for the person that can tell me if Jack could have really gone to the bottom of the ocean or could have floated after dead (with a scientific explanation, of course!!!)

And for the girls only... the moment when heat diffuse from Zac's body into Tess's cold body to save her life...

(I was wrong, he wasn't wearing a t-shirt at all from the beginning of the scene...)

and now let's get a bit more serious...

(just the information we discussed in class!!!)

And another one from BBC

Hope you like them!!!
See you next Thursday/Friday

PS: Let's see who can understand the joke

  1. As jack lost consciousness because of his symptoms he let go all the air in he's lungs. As he had no oxygen his respiratory tracks opened automatically looking for oxygen and got full of water. So it's okay Leo went to the bottom of the ocean because he had no air in his body and sank. However, after some time of being death he could have floated because of the gases produced in the decomposition of the death body.

  2. The reason why Jack's dead body couldn't float in The water is becouse when a person dies it loses The buoyancy that keeps air inside The lungs so when this air is replaced by water, The body loses The buoyancy and finally sinks.
The reason why zack could save Tess is becouse he transferido he's heat to her body and like that, save her life.

  3. The second man died because H2O2 it's hydrogen peroxide and that is a poisonous chemical compound. If you drink al lot of it can produce some syntoms like abdominal pain, vomits and also death.
